Morning Musts

Morning Work Year Long Activities
Morning’s can be madness. Between ushering in all of our littles and prepping to get the day underway there is a lot on the go. We start our day the same way every morning to maintain consistency and encourage independence. Once our kiddos have unpacked their bags, they “sign in” by tracing or writing their name on their personal name sheets. We laminate our name sheets so they can be reused throughout the year. Afterwards, they look to the smartboard to see our morning activity. The morning work pack displayed below has been a lifesaver. It’s no prep and features a new activity each day. Best of all there are enough slides to last the entire school year. I made this resource for my first graders, but it’s a great activity for SKs and eager JKs too! Morning Slides & Afternoon Slides
These slides are a great way to begin you morning or afternoon circle time. I use them to share a quick screenshot of our plans for the day and any exciting info. You can customize them to layout your morning or afternoon schedule and highlights! Click the images to see the resource.

Digital Calendar and Weather for Kindergarten & First Grade
After toying with different options, I am convinced that digital calendars are the way to go whether you are teaching online or in person. They take up no space in your classroom and you can project them onto a screen or SmartBoard for your entire class to see. This digital calendar pack includes other fun activities such as shape of the day, today’s weather, number fun, graphing and so much more.
